Hello! I’m Natalie.

I’m a freelance writer, artist and co-founder of Almost Real Things magazine in Austin,TX.

Almost Real Things is my main gig, but I also make things! I graduated from UCSB in 2013 with a degree in Studio Art and since then, I have been experimenting with materials like keys, wood, spray paint, acrylics and pine cones (to name a few).

In 2017 I started messing around with dried paint, or paint peels. It was a combination of access to acrylics (I was working as an art instructor) and curiosity that fueled this process of pouring, drying and peeling paint to make more sculptural work.

My art, my website and I are very much still a work in progress, so stay tuned for more content!
